MLSS Annual Appeal
Mountain Laurel Sudbury School
We�re doing our Annual Appeal early this year. We are in dire straits.
According to our latest budget report, we expect to run out of money at
the end of November. We will be unable to pay our rent, staff salary, or
utilities.
Everyone here has agreed that closing the school is not an option.
Still, we must take immediate action to keep ourselves solvent. There
are already a few plans in action. We expect to speak with the church to
try to reduce our rent. We also have our haircut fundraiser soon, this
Sunday the 13th, which usually does well for us. And we have an after
school program in the works to generate more income.
At the same time, we must once again reach out to our community. Any
little bit you can offer can only help. Marie has also pledged to match
any donations up to the total of $1000. Remember, a charitable donation
is tax-deductible. Also, if your place of work has a donation matching
program, please take advantage of that, as well.
MLSS is important to all of us. We all want it to do well, now and in
the future. It has helped many students find their path in life. With
your help, it can continue to do so in the future.
