We just wanted to update everyone about some things happening here at the school.

Saturday school:  We're now offering a way that prospective students can get a glimpse of the Sudbury model even if they can't make normal buisness hours.  From the website:

"For those who cannot make a visiting day during the normal week, MLSS offers a condensed version of the Sudbury model that we call Saturday School. Between 11 AM and 4 PM, children will have a chance to direct their own days with a member of the MLSS staff on hand for any help they might request. All school rules still apply, subject to the Judicial Committee as necessary.

If you would like to take advantage of Saturday School, we would need a confirmed RSVP by noon on Friday. (Certain Saturdays are excluded due to scheduling conflicts. Please contact us to be sure.) The cost is $30 per child per day. For the most realistic Sudbury experience, we ask that parents leave the campus between dropoff and pickup."

Haiti relief: Between February 1 and February 5, we will be holding a food drive for the people of Haiti.  You can bring non-perishable food items and bottled water any time during our normal hours, between 8:30 and 5.  Please tell your friends!

Bake Sale: We've also scheduled a bake sale for February 10, from 7:30 to 2 at Leaves & Pages in New Britain.  Fundraising is part of how we're keeping afloat in this difficult year, so we can use all the help we can get - both supplying baked good and buying them.

Thank you all.
