今年のMLSE夏合宿と連動で、国際会議への論文投稿を支援するメンタリング企画 "MLSE Early Birds" を以下の要領で開催します。

# 趣旨
機械学習の実用化、社会実装を目的とする分野横断の国内研究を促進するため、
MLSE（日本ソフトウェア科学会 機械学習工学研究会）では、メンタリングのみを
目的とした研究集会 "MLSE Early Birds" をMLSE夏合宿2022の1企画として開催し
ます。

ソフトウェア工学、プログラミング言語、あるいは計算機システムの各領域の国際
会議、あるいはMLSysのような、それらと機械学習との融合分野を扱う国際会議に、
機械学習をアプリケーションとした論文が国内から採択されることを目標とします。
# MLSE Early Birds 概要
論文投稿と発表の2つのアクティビティから成ります。参加者は、将来の研究および
国際会議への論文投稿を目的として、以下のいずれか一方、あるいは両方に参加でき
ます。
## 1. メンタリングを目的とした論文投稿
今後国際会議での採択を目指した萌芽的な論文を投稿していただきます。完成度は
問いません。それらは複数の査読者（メンター）により、将来の国際会議での採択
にむけてのアドバイスのみを目的として査読され、コメントが投稿者に返されます。
その内容は何らかの採否を判定するものではありません。また、以下の本会の口頭
発表とも特に関係しません。また予稿集のようなものも存在せず、投稿いただいた
論文がこちらで公開されることはありません。
## 2. 議論からのフィードバックを目的とした口頭発表
将来的に国際会議へ投稿するつもりの研究内容を15分でご発表いただきます。ご発
表後、全参加者による、会議で採択に至るためにはどうすればいいか、のアドバイ
スを目的としたディスカッションを最大30分行います。
※ 時間配分はプログラム編成の都合上変更される場合があります。
こちらの発表に先んじて予稿の提出・投稿は必要ありません。ただしメンタリング
を目的として、上記1の論文投稿を別途行うことも可能です。
なお、夏合宿の発表者はポスターセッションでも発表することを強く推奨されてお
り、こちらでの発表も同様です。ポスター発表の発表要領はMLSE夏合宿のCFPをご
参照下さい。

Established in 1993, the Asia-Pacific Software Engineering Conference (APSEC) is a leading international forum on full-spectrum software engineering and technology, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region. APSEC 2022 aims to bring together the software engineering profession, including researchers, practitioners, and educators, to describe significant new research results, report valuable project experiences, and foster broader communications and collaborations among academia, industry, and government. All accepted papers (except for workshop papers) will be published through the IEEE-CS Digital Library in the APSEC 2022 conference proceedings.
APSEC 2022 solicits submissions in the following five separate categories. Furthermore, APSEC 2022 solicits workshop proposals.

*SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS*
Submitted papers must have been neither previously accepted for publication nor concurrently submitted for review in another journal, book, conference, or workshop. All submissions must be in English, and must come in A4 paper size PDF format and conform, at time of submission, to the IEEE Conference Proceedings Formatting Guidelines (title in 24pt font and full text in 10pt font, LaTeX users must use \documentclass[10pt,conference]{IEEEtran} without including the compsoc or compsocconf option). Also, papers must comply with the IEEE Policy on Authorship. Submissions must be submitted electronically in PDF before the due date via EasyChair.
The Chairs reserve the right to reject submissions (without reviews) that are not in compliance or out of scope for the conference. If a submission is accepted, at least one author of the paper must register for APSEC 2022 and present the paper at the conference. If an accepted paper is not presented, the paper is removed from the proceedings.
IMPORTANT: The APSEC 2022 technical research track will use a double-blind reviewing process, which means that submissions must not reveal the authors' identities. The authors must make every effort to honor the double-blind reviewing process. Submissions must adhere to the rules. Please read carefully the APSEC 2022 double-blind instructions before preparing your paper.
