Dear Supporter,
Would you be willing to click a link once a day for a month to help the Center for Progressive Leadership and 11 other great progressive non-profits raise $750,000?
Now's your chance. CPL is teaming together with 11 other progressive non-profits to compete jointly in an online fundraiser called "Pepsi Refresh Everything"-and we need your help!
We don't usually participate in contests like this, but Pepsi is giving away some serious money and this joint progressive slate-made up of non-profit groups that are challenged to raise needed funds in this difficult economy-has a real shot at winning. And because of the set-up of the contest, you can help not just CPL but twelve great groups raise over $750,000 in August alone.
To win, the groups need to get the most online votes in August. So we're asking you to sign up to be a daily voter throughout the month.
Can you sign up to be a daily voter to help CPL and 11 other progressive groups win $750,000?
As a daily voter, you'll receive a short email each morning in the month of August with a voting link for all the organizations on the progressive slate. The contest runs through August and we'll know the winners by the end of the month.
This will money will help CPL train thousands of progressive leaders this year.
This money will be crucial to our plans for the rest of the year and into 2011. The grant will give us the ability to provide scholarships for leaders in our Political Leaders Fellowships and our New Leaders Programs, as well as hire top national trainers for all our workshops.
The other groups that we're competing with include the Energy Action Coalition, League of Young Voters, Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio, United States Student Association, Inner City Law Center, Keystone Progress, and others. They are working on issues like mobilizing young voters, coordinating progressive efforts at the state level, improving access to college, promoting healthy eating, providing legal and advocacy support for low-income communities and fighting homelessness.
