These funds will help CPL train inspiring progressive political leaders across the country this year

In these tough economic times, this money will be crucial to our plans for the rest of the year and into 2011. The grant will give us the ability to recruit and train inspiring progressive political leaders across the country.

The other groups that we're competing with include the Energy Action Coalition, League of Young Voters, Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio, United States Student Association, Inner City Law Center, Keystone Progress, and others. They are working on issues like mobilizing young voters, coordinating progressive efforts at the state level, improving access to college, promoting healthy eating, providing legal and advocacy support for low-income communities and fighting homelessness.
