Parallelism Capabilities

Hi Guys,

We're looking at this package as a potential in our data stack and curious about the design of this library with respect to parallelism/concurrency - Python has capabilities in this area (https://wiki.python.org/moin/ParallelProcessing) but not sure of the implementation with this stack.

Any insights would be great (even collaborate to improve it).
