MLO for Android Gingerbread on T989, Samsung S2 Hercules T-Mobile.
My location monitoring service says that it's been 10 days since my location has updated.
I am thinking I've had this problem before and it it had something to do with the settings on my phone either in MLO or not, but I cannot remember what other settings might affect this feature.
Other than having the location monitoring box checked in the MLO software, are there other settings on my phone that would keep this from working?
Thanks!
On jellybean, there are settings in the system settings for location access. You could play around with those.

I don't have Jellybean.

Other versions of android probably have a similar setting, but it might be a different location.

From the gingerbread home screen hit the menu button then select Settings>LocationAndSecurity
The first section of the settings screen that comes up, is called "My Location". Turn on as many of the checkboxes in this section as you can without making yourself uncomfortable. The more of these you turn on, the better Android will be at telling MLO your location. But also, the shorter your battery life will be.

There are three:
Wi-Fi, which I have on almost all of the time
GPS which I have on several times a day
Google services, which is checked and so is always on.
None of these have allowed my MLO location services to update.
I now have my Wi-Fi, GPS and Google location services all on.
I go to Nearby in the MLO app. There are two nearby locations showing at the moment, but yesterday these same locations were showing when I was nowhere near them.
The banner at the top says, "Last location received 9 days ago. Updating..."
I wait 20 - 30 seconds until a small box at the bottom of my screen appears that says: "Location update failed."
Then, when I select Menu and Update location, the banner says "Last location received 9 days ago. Updating..."
Then I wait 20 - 30 seconds until the small box at the bottom of my screen reappears that says "Location update failed." and the banner at the top of the screen then says: "Last location received 15850 days ago." The locations that were showing a moment ago have now disappeared.

If you open Google Maps does it open with a blue dot (or maybe arrow) at your current location?

Oh, I'm sorry for not answering this.
Yes, when I open Google Maps my location is accurate and appears as a blue arrow head shape, which rotates if I rotate the orientation of my phone.
By the way, thank you so much, everyone, for trying to help me troubleshoot this problem. I have needed to get this figured out for awhile now, and I'm excited about getting it working, if possible!
