I have been using MLO for several years.

Recently the star feature has stopped working correctly on my Android MLO version 1.6.14.
Android is Samsung S5 / SM-G900A
Android OS is 4.4.2

Problem is when trying to click to turn on star when viewing the outline, the cursor jumps around to a different position on the outline and the star is not selected.  It seems random.  Nothing else happens but then I have to find where I was on the outline. Very frustrating as I use the star feature regularly to focus on important tasks.

I contacted support and they said someone in development would try to look into it but nothing yet.  They said it may relate to a memory issue with android but the android has 41% of storage available and 76% of RAM available.

Has anyone else had this issue?

The database has 2778 items but another of my outlines has 1648 items and it works fine.

Thanks,  Jim

Yes. We have this problem. The jump is caused by the quick jump is cause by the 'fast scrolling' bar on almost the same place as the star icon.

Go to setting> general settings> scrolling set up & off 'use fast scrolling'. Then u can star items without jumping.

I myself don't rely on the fast scroll. I find  the normal scrolling is good enough. Or I can simply close all tree & open my desire brances.

Hope this is helpful.  :-)

Hi, Mok. Are you certain that the "use fast scrolling" setting is available in version 1.6.14?

I don't see it on mine. Perhaps it's in the 2.0 beta? This scrolling issue is one that has annoyed me for quite some time. I believe my Droid X did not have the issue, but my Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 5 do, suggesting that perhaps only certain devices (such as those running stock Android) suffer from it. It affects not just starring, but attempting to drag and drop in move mode. Thankfully the arrow buttons save you. I don't believe these are in the 2.0 beta, so I hope it is truly squashed now.

The final feature list for the 2.0 release hasn't yet been published, so anything you hear from people like Mok and me  is speculation. But the release itself is promised for November, and where I live is has been November for almost a week now, so my suggestion would be,  wait for the 2.0 release and then see if there's any way to turn off fast scrolling.
