I have several templates in which I don't use all of the tasks,
particularly for travel packing lists. I've found a fast way to delete
the ones I don't want on Android.

Make my copy and move into an active branch (my templates are "hide in todo")
Zoom to the task tree in question
Select Move mode
Drag the first task to delete onto the next task to delete
Drag this tree onto the next task to delete
Delete the whole tree with long-hold, Delete

It's almost four years later, but still very useful. Thanks for posting this trick, Lisa!

Oops I only noticed now that this google group is dead/merged.

Good tip, thanks.

I read somewhere that multi-select is part of the focus in 2017 for the Android version.
