First, you should realize that MLM is a legitimate and lucrative
business model for SOME people. The question each person must answer
for themselves is, "Is MLM right for me?"

If it is, or isn't is a personal decision. That is a separare issue
from the it is a legitimate way to work from home for others.

MLM is also referred to as "Direct Selling" and normally involves the
selling and/or using of products yourself AND the art of creating your
own network of customers and/or business partner, or "downline" as
it's called.

You can work your MLM business opportunity part-time, from home or
anywhere in the world, and at in your own hours. Even with all the
potential for making money, you should decide, though if an MLM is for
you.

Many people are blinded by all the money and personal benefits of an
MLM when determining if this type of business is right for them. You
do not need to have a college degree or any experience to get into the
industry.

The products are manufactured by a supplier who usually ships them
directly to your customers. You choose your hours and your work
location. Many people work from the comfort of their own home.

Other benefits of an MLM business opportunity are that you have
leverage. You usually continue earning commissions on a single
effort. You do not need to come up with your own business or marketing
plan, but you can even though the company usually has one for you.

Despite the numerous benefits, MLM businesses do come with some
downfalls.

For instance, you usually start by marketing to family and friends.
This can create some issues and alienation among people.

The key to success is to learn that it's about SHARING but not
SELLING. Promotion of products comes naturally to those who find
something they like, eg. a good movie, and then they SHARE that
experience with others WITHOUT SELLING it.

The work is selling, the fun is sharing. Most people do not want to
see the same movie as you do, and that's ok, right? Well, that is
especially true when it comes to products that you like.

Most people will not like the same products as you do. Add to that
the fact that very few people want to change brands or where they buy
their products, so you'll need to have a pretty strong backbone if
you're selling.

If you're sharing, it will be much easier to do, but you must realize
that you'll have to share a lot to find a few. But it's much easier
to do that for a few months or years to build a strong residual income
than it is to work for someone else at a job for 40+ years!

Many people will tell you, “no” instead of “yes”, therefore, it takes
a lot of effort and motivation but it can be very well worth it. The
key is to hang in there. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

Working at home works for some people, but not for other people. It
takes a great deal of discipline and motivation to get the job done
without being easily distracted. Before you decide to take up any MLM
business opportunity and work at home, make sure that you get all the
information that you need to make an informed decision.

So weighing out the good and bad, is MLM for you?

Well, if you are a self-starter with a lot of energy and motivation
then it is a good start. If you have leadership skills and can set
goals and meet them, then MLM might be for you, too.

Successful MLM people have great people skills but you need to realize
which came first. In almost every case, they didn't have those skills
in the beginning. They developed them along the way, and that's one
of the hidden benefits of network markeing. It's a great place to
develop yourself. In fact, it's probably the best place on earth to do
that.

An MLM business opportunity is an ideal trade to run online and work
from the location of your choice as you are not bound to one place
like an office. If you have the personality to run this type of
business, or are willing to learn the skills, then it could be the
perfect opportunity for you.

Just make sure you watch out for MLM scams and do your research before
joining. Then take advantage of the MLM opportunities that await you.

I know many people with a "successful" job who are dissatisfied. I
cannot think of a single person with a successful MLM business who is
not very content and happy with their business.

All the best,
