Apologizing for the bandwidth-eating explanation and promotion -- Dom's Domain
media columns have been dormant for a few months because of business and
serious family matters but is back in full force with a series of articles. In
fact, the web site has three new columns (which will filter out more slowly to
e-mail subscribers).
One is an in-depth look at the deals made by Advance newspapers on the Net and
how they flip media traditon on its ear. Another explores the framing
controversy in what I hope is a fresh way, and the third is a retrospective on
the recent Online News Summit and some inklings about the next one. All now at

And several of you on these lists also have my deep thanks for helping with
the major package on online newspapers and local advertising now up at the
Newspaper Association of America's Digital Edge site at
http://www.naa.org/edge.html -- which turned into a very candid and probing
exploration, successes that may startle you, internal changes of long-range
consequence and just some solid pragmatic advice.
End of self-promotion, but my gratitude will linger long for the great
cooperation, and the frequent inquiries about where my columns have been. I go
lie down now.
