Well, as a fellow "old" timer, I'd like to say that the CIX has much
improved since 1994, and has, IMHO, become a valid representative of a
section of the ISP community. I do /not/ believe them to be all things to
tall people, but a lot has changed since 1994 (remember in 1994, Sprint was
the darling backbone of the Internet who was out there to save the
independent ISP), and IMHO, the CIX has changed for the better. Yes, I
have had my disagreements with the CIX in the past (actually, if you read
the inet-access archives from 1994, you'll see that I was relatively
involved in the discussions surrounding everything that the CIX was doing
at the time), and occasionally in the present, but that being said, I
believe that they have changed their tune.
