Be careful of SuperNews. They are indeed, very fast and do have excellent
retention of articles. But check out their prices. SuperNews is expensive,
and they just announced a price INCREASE. They just doubled their pricing
in 1998, and now they are increasing again. They went from $10/port to $15
in '98, and effective Jan 1 they are $17.50. Of course if you act now, you
can lock in their "Great" price of only $15 if you sign a 1 year agreement.

I suggest you continue to look around. Check out Newsfeeds.com.

I use Supernews and have had an excellant relationship with them. But
that is my expierence. My suggestion is to take several (3 or 4) news
outsourcers up on thier offer for a free trial. Point your DNS to them
and let your customers ( the ones that really use it) tell you which is
best. Supernews was the winner with my customers but your reponse may
be different. Either way, let them tell you which is best.

The problem is that if this news service is his second job then there will be
times that he can't get to the servers immediately to fix problems. So thus my
users if I went with such a service would not be able to get news for a period
of time which would make me look bad. That is all I was talking about.

We have been using Newsguy with great succes.
(www.newsguy.com) They have great service and the support has
been good as well. They are $10/port which was the best price we
found for a decent service.

Please mention my name if you talk to them. Thanks!

I can also vouch for Newsguy. In fact, I like their service enough that I
have a personal account I pay for, and I have access to four or five
"regular" ISP newsfeeds. I'd say they're good enough that you could make
using them a differentiator if enough subscribers cared about Usenet, which
the7y don't.
