Subject: Presenting...The Big Picture!

Following is an announcement of new content on the Learning Page,
American Memory Web site, Library of Congress. This announcement has
been sent to a number of lists. Please accept our apologies for any
duplicate postings.

The Learning Page is pleased to announce the release of the new and
improved "The Big Picture" activity!

The Big Picture provides an engaging introduction to the American
Memory Web site for learners of all ages. It consists of twelve sets
of jigsaw puzzles made from images found in the American Memory
collections. As puzzles are solved, participants are invited to
explore the source of the images in the American Memory digital
collections. Discovering the "Big Picture," the theme the images
have in common, leads to resounding applause! Learners can then "Find
out More" about the images and the theme or can continue to a new set
of puzzles.

Stop by and have some fun as you learn...Good luck!

http://www.studentviewpoints.org

Student Viewpoints is a non-commercial online student community that
encourages honest evaluations of daily college life. At the heart of this
online community is a place where students can sound off publicly about
everything from their favorite faculty members or social experiences to the
courses or residence halls they've hated the most. For current students and
administrators, it is a way to tap into honest information that can help
them make things better.

the National Academy of Sciences. It is a series of
