What do you mean that the rpm packages are not made?
Do you mean that the dir /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/ppc/ is empty?

Ariel,

Yes - there is nothing in the /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/ppc directory. The
build went fine and files were also transferred to /var/tmp before the
actual packaging but after that nothing.

Here are the last few lines from the install process:
