International Young Eco-Heroes receive a cash prize of up to $500, a certificate, membership to Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots Institute and an opportunity to attend the annual Bioneers environmental conference near San Francisco, California, USA.

Applicants must be at least 8 years old and no more than 16 years old as of Feb. 28, 2009. Projects must concern environmental advocacy, environmental health, research or protection of the natural world. Projects must be current in the last year. Ongoing efforts that include an outreach or educational component are more likely to be recognized. Check our website for more details!!!
