This is a great opportunity to join me and my colleagues in [AI]² - a new big initiative at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. As an [AI]² researcher, you will contribute to solving the pressing societal challenges of our time for a sustainable future by developing AI technology which is resilient, robust, and reliable, the hallmarks of responsible AI. Important strategic focus areas are increased preparedness and situational awareness via satellites and UAVs, for climate and environmental forecasting and change, and for asset and infrastructure monitoring. You will join a strong team in fundamental neural networks and deep learning research. You will benefit from the high quality research environment in Visual Intelligence. You will help organize the Northern Lights Deep Learning Conference - NLDL - a premier conference on the "north pole".
