Kia ora koutou katoa,

Hope the academic year is finishing nicely for you all – I wanted to let you know about the Hour of Code lessons for Minecraft:EE:

This is a great way to engage students at the end of the year (who no doubt already have an eye on the summer break) in an activity that is both topical (environmental protection) and educational – training a bot with AI.

I’ve just completed it and enjoyed the fundamentals and see the scope to use it more extensively to dive deeper.

The great thing as well is that it does not require a username/password to log in so even schools that do not have O365 credentials can give it a try. (I know that for many primary schools that are particularly interested in Minecraft:EE in the classroom they often don't have O365 usernames so this lesson is an easy way to try it out).

Minecraft:EE runs on iPads, Apple Macs and Windows 10 devices.

Any questions, let me know and enjoy the summer break ahead,

Cheers,

Sam,
