Apologies for this arriving late; however, we would like invite you to consider responding to the CODATA call for additional new members to its International Data Policy Committee (IDPC) https://codata.org/initiatives/data-policy/international-data-policy-committee/idpc-call-for-members-2023/ The call is open only until next Monday, 25 September 2023.
We seek senior scientists, researchers, ethics, legal, and policy experts with experience in the following areas:
- Ethics, law, policy, and/or governance in data, AI, and/or Open Science
- Experience with the implementation of UNESCO’s Declaration on Open Science and Declaration on the Ethics of AI; the WMA’s Declaration of Taipei; WHO’s guidances on data and AI; UNDRR’s Sendai Framework
- Specific experience with developing and implementing data, AI, and/or Open Science ethics, law, policy, and/or governance at the local, national, and/or regional levels.
CODATA is the Committee on Data of the International Science Council, headquartered in Paris, France. CODATA helps realize ISC’s vision of advancing science as a global public good by promoting international collaboration to advance Open Science and to improve the availability and usability of data for all areas of research. The CODATA International Data Policy Committee (IDPC) is the key instrument by which CODATA pursues its mission of promoting effective and appropriate policies for Open Science, FAIR data, and AI within a human-centric approach. The IDPC works at the interfaces between science and government, science and society.
