Hi Indaba Community,

To introduce myself, My name  is Sade and I work with the Google for Startups Africa team. I got your details from your frequent newsletters.

I wanted to share with you that applications are still open for Google for Startups Accelerator: Africa (AI-First) with the focus on startups leveraging AI. This equity-free program is targeting high-potential startups based in Africa that are building products or services that use artificial intelligence in a transformative way by leveraging Cloud or Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning in their product, service or operations.

We believe that the  thatDeep Learning IndabaCommunity  could be interested in this program as there are areas of alignment. As the leading organization in the African AI/ML  you have a large and active network of data scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors, and I would appreciate your help in getting the word out to reach a potential strong pool of people.

The deadline to apply has been extended to September 14th 2023. The selected startups from Africa will enroll into a hybrid accelerator program from End of September to Mid November 2023. The program will consist of technical and strategic workshops, 1:1 mentorship, investor connections and several networking opportunities virtually and in person.

I'd appreciate if you could help:

  • Spread the word on social media (you can find templates in this social toolkit)
  • Refer Startups to Apply!
Lastly we are looking tof technical mentors who are interested in supporting startups to better leverage AI in an efficient and responsible way. If you'd like to do that kindly register your interest  and I will be in touch.

If you have any questions or know of other ways to support or collaborate feel free to reach out.

Have a good day!
