The University of Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) School of Computer Science (UM6P-CS) is seeking talented students with a very strong background in Computer Science and Mathematics and excellent skills in algorithms and programming.

Seven (7) Ph.D. positions (with substantial scholarships) are opened starting from October 2022 in the research areas of UM6P-CS, covering a large spectrum of topics, including Machine Learning, Data Science, Cloud Computing, Networked Systems, Distributed systems, Cybersecurity, and Privacy, Cyberphysical systems, etc.

The positions are for 4 years. In the first year, students will enhance their scientific competencies through a series of advanced courses they must validate, and they will also receive research training through an internship at the laboratory of UM6P-CS that will allow them to undertake their thesis work on a solid background.

Application:

The candidates must have an engineering degree or a master's degree, and they must provide the full transcripts (grades and ranks) for all their high education years (bachelor/master's and/or engineering school).

1. Check the website to get yourself acquainted with what the department is all about. Further information about the Ph.D. program can be found here.   
2. Go to Research and see the different areas you can apply to, including Machine learning and data sciences, Networked systems and cloud computing, Cybersecurity and Privacy. Please note that you don’t need to have a Thesis topic before you apply. You only need to choose one of the above-mentioned research topics or fields.
3. Go to People in Department to check for permanent faculty professors working in the area you selected in the above step and choose them as your possible supervisor.  Make sure to click on their corresponding web pages to see their research area. They will be contacted directly by the department to check if you are a good fit to be their student. Please note that you don’t need any prior knowledge of any professors, nor do you have to contact them for additional information. If you contact any of the professors and they respond to your request is just an additional requirement, but it doesn’t guarantee your acceptance. 
4. Additionally, after the online application has been completed. Please send copies of your documents merged as one file (pdf) directly to the department at d...@um6p.ma
5. Finally, if selected, you will be invited for an interview regarding your chosen research field and possibly general computer science knowledge. Please feel free to contact any of the Ph.D. students in People in Department for any information you might need.
