yes Fritz, it is absolutely a mosque... ::) i am working in local municipality in my hometown...
as a landscape architect.
and the picture is one of my works. the place is in the one of old place in my hometown. i mean it has historical
features.. so you can see the turkish flag.. a few days ago there are alot of slums around the mosque.. we(i mean the municipality ) have bought them and destroyed all around. and we want to appreciate it like an open space. the area is on prade of place and slopy so we will solve this problem to plan steps.... the are is near schools, and there is not a playground near it. so we will plan a playground and some places for inactive recreation...
i am sure that we can make better one...but sometimes money is more important then your design.....
and i hope i can explain it :P if you have any question you can ask....
