Dear Professors

It is with regret I am writing this mail. If this is our attitude towards academic growth at DSCE, forget taking DSCE to No.! slot, it will be difficult for us to retain the present position.

Director is very upset with the kind of attitude some of the departments are showing. I am herewith appealing to each one of you to gear to the seriousness of the situation and work hard to :

1. Make DSCE,No.1 college
2. Work for NAAC
3. Prepare for NBA

I was going through DSCE website, it is pathetic that some of the departments are sleeping and are highly inactive in updating the correct information. Please go through the observation that I have made:

• MCA Dept:

Has not updated the information about faculty.Dr.Manjula Sanjay.K, Mrs.Ambika Nagaraj, Mr.Poornachandra.S and Mrs.Pavithra have left the college but still their names are reflected.

• Automobile Dept:

Photos does not reflect dress code. For example: Dr.H.N.Suresh (HOD).,Mr.Vijay Tirumalesh,Mr.Muragappa.S.B.,Mr.Kiran Kumar.P.

• EEE Dept:

Faculty Photos doesn't reflect dress code.For example: Dr.Balaji.,Mr.Raghavendra.H.S

• ECE Dept:

Dr.Girish Attimarad is shown as HOD,but Management has put in place on deputation Dr.Hariprasad as HOD.,Mr.Jayadev.T.S's photo doesn't reflect dress code.

• Info Science Dept:

Mr.Dheemanth Urs.R has not followed dress code

• Med.Electronics Dept:

Mr.Sushrutha Bharadwaj has not followed dress code

• Arch Dept:

There is no profile for some of the staff shown

• Chemical Dept:

Mr.Thirumalesh.B.S. has not followed dress code

• Civil Dept:

Mr.Raghu.T has left the college , his photo is still shown.

Mr.Chandrashekar.,Mr.K.Arjun.,Mr.Raghu Adhyapak and Dr.Munirudrappa,there is no dress code followed

• Comp.Science Dept:

Mr.Sasikumar Gurumoorthy ,no dress code

• Chemistry Dept:

Dr.Bheemaraju and Dr.Adinarayana Reddy's phot's don't reflect dress code.

More serious issue is Dr.Anantha Raju's photo and profile is not at all shown.This is a serious lapse.

• Maths Dept:

Dr.H.Narasimhamurthy's photo doesn't depict dress code.

There are number of activities/programs initiated by Director, report on the same with photos are not getting updated . I request Dr.Ramesh Babu,Vice Principal to get these data immediately and update the website by 5 PM on 13.11.2015.

All the respective HOD's to get into action as per the observation made and update the respective information.

Important works to be followed up:

1. News Letter Preparation: Dr.Nagaraj to involve and follow up the progress . It has to be ready by 15.11.2015
2. Website updation: Dr.Ramesh Babu to follow up and update by 5pm on 13.11.2015
3. Hostels(Boys and girls):Director has got the approval for Engineering works.,Dr.Ashwath along with Dr.Narasimhe gowda, Mr.Tajuddin,Mr.Sinosh to follow up with Engineer. Enlist any other works observed. Dr.Ashwath to give the compliance report by 16.11.2015
4. Journals: Dr.Vasanth Kumar to expedite the process and give the report of plagiarism by 3pm on 13.11.2015 and prepare the printed journal by 18.11.2015.All HOD's to arrange one foreign author paper for the journal immediately.
5. VTU examination(non autonomous) Dr.Rajendra to prepare the allotment of invigilators. announce date for meeting, arrange the examination office staff, check the VTU QPDS system for its proper functioning, Give the list of important phone numbers of VTU for proper maintenance of online question paper printing. Dr.Rajendra to give compliance by 16.11.2015
6. VTU(Autonomous): Dr.P.Prakash to give report on the preparation made for conduction of 1st sem examination. Invigilators identified, training for invigilators., arrangements for practical examination, examinars (internal & external) identified for practicals. Preparation for starting valuation work, Valuation centre identification, Security, identification of valuers and moderators., Invite letters sent for  paper setting and its status department wise.
7. Staff Requirement: All HOD's to enumerate staff requirement(teaching and non teaching) as per the even semester work load. Provide the list to the office of the undersigned by 18.11.2015

HOD's to extend cooperation in all these works to ensure that activities are completed as per the schedule. HOD's to monitor maintenance of the buildings of their respective department, Director and myself noticed number of issues during rounds on 11.11.2015(rain water seepage etc),these issues are to be immediately noticed, written note has to be sent to facilities/Engineering section and judiciously followed up. I hope the matter will be taken up in all its seriousness and complied .

As all the festivals are over now,I request all HOD's not to avail leave till the examinations are over unless it is emergency.
