The themes identified for deliberation during the two-day Workshop include: Bioengineering: Deploying Interdisciplinary Engineering for Revolutionary Healthcare; Testing and Regulatory Compliance: Pathway for Ethical Induction of MedTech; Futuristic Healthcare Technologies: IOT, Bioprinting, Virtual Reality and Simulation; Panel Discussion: Challenges and Opportunities in Collaborative Medical Technology Innovation and Translation; and 2 Pre-Conference Workshops on Biosensors and Bioelectronics: The New Frontier; and Biomaterials: Novel Technology Platforms for Affordable Healthcare Delivery.
The Panel Discussion following these five sessions will help distil actionable ideas for pursuing research in a collaborative mode by members of the proposed Translational Science Platform comprising Institutions / Organizations from the Academia, Industry, and the Research Organizations in conjunction with the Research Funding Agencies to develop proof of concept devices that can be taken forward by the industry for mass-market production.
