I'm excited to share that we have 6 Lectureship positions open in the Department of Computer Science, University of Liverpool, including:

2 positions: Lecturer in Algorithmic Optimisation/Data Science/Machine Learning - Grade 8  Job Reference: 036248

2 positions: Lecturer in High-Performance / Quantum Computing - Grade 8 Job Reference: 036249

2 positions: Lecturer in Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval - Grade 8 Job Reference: 036251

Researchers with an excellent track record in other relevant areas will also be considered. We welcome applications from outside academia including those who would like to move to academic positions on a part-time basis while continuing working in industry. We welcome applications from all sectors of the community. This post is a full-time position but we recognise that many individuals value flexibility in their work/life balance and we will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible (a minimum of 0.5 FTE). We are working to improve the gender balance in the Department of Computer Science, and we particularly encourage applications from women. Please note that in terms of responsibilities and recognition, the position of a newly appointed lecturer in the UK is comparable to that of an assistant professor in the United States.
