Two fully funded, full-time PhD positions in the at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh. The University of Edinburgh offers an exciting interdisciplinary, collaborative environment integrating different subfields of computer science and artificial intelligence. The appointed student will work in the Belle Lab (https://vaishakbelle.com/lab/), as part the Artificial Intelligence and its Applications Institute. The positions are fully funded.
The aim of this project is to work on foundational topics at the intersection of logic and deep learning, i.e., neuro-symbolic AI. Intersecting areas such as reinforcement learning, large language models, explainability, and ethics would also be considered. Please see our publications for ideas.
