The 2023 Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture conference (https://abe.ufl.edu/2023-ai-conference/) will be held in Orlando, Florida, during April 17-19, 2023 and will bring together a diverse, multi-disciplinary cohort of researchers, companies and stakeholders from around the US.

This conference addresses several key priority themes for implementing AI-based technology in an efficient, sustainable, and socio-economically equitable manner.

New additions for 2023 will highlight the need for socio-economic and gender equity. Our planning committee will emphasize expanding the background of conference participants to include a broad spectrum of the research community including experts on gender and sociological issues. This will serve to generate discussions among stakeholders on how to ensure AI technologies do not reinforce prior technological bias against women, marginal communities, and farm labor. A second new theme will be to strengthen the voice of producers so their needs, concerns, and perceptions can be included a priori in the development of such technologies.

If you are working on AI research or applications that impact or inform any aspect of agriculture, consider giving a talk or presenting a poster and submit an abstract by Wednesday, February 1st. After the conference, the venue's main findings will be compiled into a report and selected submissions will be invited to contribute to a special-issue journal. The venue's registration deadline is Wednesday, February 15.
