Postdoctoral Position at Amazon (Stores Foundational AI Team)

We are looking for talented Postdoctoral Scientists to join our Stores Foundational AI team at Amazon for a one-year (with the possibility of extension to two years), full-time research position. We are interested in candidates to work on projects related to the Alignment problem in Large Language Models (LLMs).

The Stores Foundational AI (SFAI) team builds large language models (LLMs) specialized in shopping. They are trained on Amazon’s product catalog and information across the web to assist Amazon’s customers in their shopping experience. We are also building foundation models for Amazon entities, such as selling items, customers, sellers, and brands. These models are used in downstream applications by various partner teams in the entire Amazon stores. Alignment methods play a key role for these models to follow complex product requirements and behave responsibly.

Basic Qualifications

• PhD in relevant fields, received within 2 years of starting the program.
• Proven publication record in AI/ML, Reinforcement Learning, Optimization, and Foundation Models
