Call for PHD candidate LEMUR project

Dear all,
we are pleased to announce that the University of Siena, Siena,
Italy offers a full-time position in the European Doctoral Network
LEMUR starting on the 1st of September 2023, on "Multiple
Representations in Search and Recommendation".
The research activity will have two main objectives: 1) to identify and define multiple-representation models in the context of Neural-Symbolic methods, therefore coordinating a symbolic and sub-symbolic representation into a coordinated learning and inference plan; 2) to implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the models into different applications.
- The research activity will be hosted by the Siena Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAILAB) involved in the LEMUR project.
- The candidate will be a Ph.D. student for all intents and purposes and will be awarded the title of Ph.D. after three years (contract duration).
- The net salary will be around 3171 euros per month (without family) or around 3572 euros per month (with family).
- The candidate should not yet possess a doctoral (or an
equivalent) degree.
- The candidate has not resided or carried out her/his main
activity (work, studies, etc.) in Italy for more than 12 months
in the 36 months immediately before the recruitment date
(mobility rule of the EU).
