The Department of Computer Science at Saarland University is looking for a W3 professorship (equivalent to full professor level) in the field of Machine Learning (ML). We invite applications in all modern areas of ML, including but not limited to theoretical and applied deep learning, reinforcement learning, causal ML, trustworthy and robust ML, etc.

The position offers excellent working conditions in a lively scientific community, embedded in the vibrant and international research environment of the Saarland Informatics Campus, where we  closely with a number of internationally renowned state-of-the-art research institutes: the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), the Center for Bioinformatics, and the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security.  Successful applicants will be considered for affiliation with MPI for Informatics or MPI for Software Systems.
