Job description
A pre- or post-doctoral position will soon be available at the Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMeC) and the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science (DISI), University of Trento. The call is open to graduate students or researchers with experience in Artificial Intelligence and/or Cognitive Science. The research fellow will be part of an interdisciplinary research team and is expected to develop and implement AI-based intelligent tutoring systems under the supervision of prof. Andrea Passerini as well as to run online behavioural experiments under the supervision of profs. Katya Tentori and Stefania Pighin. 
 
Requirements
The ideal candidate has a background in Computer Science, Math or related fields, and a strong research interest in Cognitive Science. Candidates must be fluent in English and must have basic knowledge in machine learning as well as solid programming skills in Python. Experience in running behavioural experiments involving human participants and/or developing web applications (Flask, JavaScript, etc) are not mandatory but are preferred, as is a demonstrated ability in writing research manuscripts.

Conditions of employment
The position is for full-time employment for a two-year period. The starting date of the appointment is negotiable but should be within the next 6 months. Salary to be determined depending on possession of a PhD and extent of research experience.
