Hello community, 

Booking.com is currently recruiting PhD research students who will have the opportunity to join our 2022 Machine Learning Summer Research Internship Program based in our headquarters in beautiful Amsterdam (relocation support is provided) or in our Machine Learning center in sunny Tel Aviv.

During the internship, the interns will have the opportunity to join one of our teams and gain experience with conducting applied research on topics such as computer vision, NLP, geo DS, bandits, causality and more.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Pursuing your PhD degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Physics, etc.)

  • Ability to conduct research independently 

  • Excellent English

  • Experience working with large data sets, model development, statistics, experimentation, data visualization, optimization, software development.

  • Strong working knowledge of Python; Hadoop, SQL, Spark or similar big data technologies.

  • For Amsterdam - Participation in the internship program requires that you are located in The Netherlands for the duration of the internship program.Mobility support including flights to Amsterdam, temporary accommodation during the internship, visa sponsorship and a competitive salary will be provided by Booking.com where required.

  • For Tel Aviv - Participation in the internship program requires that you are located in Israel for the duration of the internship program. Israeli working Visa or citizenship is mandatory to apply for the internship
