Measures and Best Practices for Responsible AI Workshop @ KDD 2021

We invite contributions towards
(i) measures and metrics which help in determining the trustworthiness of a model/dataset,
(ii) datasets which help assess/enhance task performance, reliability and inclusivity,
(iii) assessment or remediation tools for fairer, more transparent, robust, and reliable models and data mining techniques,
(iv) case studies describing responsible development and deployment of AI systems across fields such as healthcare, financial services, insurance, etc.

The measures, datasets, mitigation techniques, and best practice guidelines could focus on different areas including (but not restricted to) the following:
  • Fairness and Bias
  • Robustness
  • Reliability and Safety
  • Interpretability
  • Explainability
  • Ethical AI
  • Causal Inference
  • Counterfactual Example Analysis
We also invite demos, negative results, limitations, and trade-offs in responsible AI approaches as well as case studies describing end-to-end implementations of responsible AI models in different applications across diverse fields such as finance, healthcare and beyond.

Important Dates

  • Paper Submission Deadline: May 20th, 2021
  • Notification of acceptance: June 10th, 2021
  • Camera Ready: July 1st, 2021
  • Workshop date: TBA

Submission Guidelines

All submissions will be double-blind peer reviewed (with author names and affiliations removed) by the program committee and judged by their relevance to the workshop themes. Accepted and under-review papers are allowed to submit to the workshop. We invite short papers of length 4 pages plus unlimited pages for references and supplementary material. Accepted papers will be presented at the workshop as oral/poster presentations. To allow for dual submission, at the discretion of the authors, accepted submissions will be archived on the website. Please note that at least one of the authors of each accepted paper must register for the workshop and present the paper. Please submit papers in the ACM Proceedings Template format at https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=raikdd2021.
