Position #01:

The MICS project (spoke 8 https://www.mics.tech/spoke8) aims at developing digital approaches and solutions for sustainable factories and automation. 

  • Number of openings: 1 (‘Senior Post-doctoral Grant’/'Assegno di Ricerca Senior')

  • Duration: 24 months

  • Starting date: from 1st of October 2023 to the 1st of January 2024

  • Topics: Continual Learning, Data-driven Control, Explainable Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning-based Anomaly/Fault Detection, Predictive Maintenance. Research activities may be developed in collaborations with industrial partners or artificial intelligence companies.

  • Advisor: Prof. Gian Antonio Susto

  • Required qualifications: (i) Ph.D. with focus on Control Systems and/or Machine Learning-related topics; (ii) Good programming skills with prior expertise in Python.

  • Preferred qualifications: (a) Prior expertise with the aforementioned topics; (b) Knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks (Tensorflow or PyTorch).

  • Annual salary: € 24726 (gross - 'RAL')


Position #02:

The iNest project (spoke 5 https://www.consorzioinest.it/en/smart-and-sustainable-environments-2/) aims at developing solutions and methodologies for human-centric and sustainable factories and workplaces. 

  • Number of openings: 1 (‘Research Grant’/'Assegno di Ricerca')

  • Duration: 12 months

  • Starting date: from 1st of November 2023 to the 1st of January 2024

  • Topics: Explainable Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning-based Anomaly/Fault Detection, Predictive Maintenance, Reinforcement Learning, Virtual/Soft Sensing. Research activities may be developed in collaborations with industrial partners or artificial intelligence companies.

  • Advisor: Prof. Gian Antonio Susto

  • Required qualifications: (i) M.Sc./Ph.D. with focus on Control Systems and/or Machine Learning-related topics; (ii) Good programming skills with prior expertise in Python.

  • Preferred qualifications:  Prior expertise with the aforementioned topics (especially Explainable Artificial Intelligence and Reinforcement Learning).

  • Annual salary: € 19367 (gross - 'RAL')
