The Department of Computer Science at Western University has an opening for a one-year postdoc position. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
The successful candidate will work with Prof. Charles Ling and Dr. Boyu Wang on developing innovative machine learning algorithms. Research topics to be explored include but are not limited to transfer learning, multitask learning, domain generalization, continual learning, fairness, robust learning under domain shift/noise labels/adversarial attack, explainable AI, etc. The role of the hired postdoc will be to publish research papers, write grant proposals, and supervise doctoral students’ research.

Requirements:
1. PhD in Computer Science/Statistics/Applied Math or related fields
2. Strong background in machine learning, data science, and statistics
3. Excellent programming skills (e.g., TensorFlow or PyTorch)
4. Good written and verbal skills in English
5. A strong publication record in top-tier conferences/journals (e.g., ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, AAAI, KDD, JMLR, etc.)
