Time is running out to apply for a generously funded PhD studentship at the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Interactive Artificial Intelligence at the University of Bristol, UK for a September 2023 start. At this stage we are only considering highly qualified  applicants meeting UKRI's home student requirements (see https://www.ukri.org/what-we-offer/developing-people-and-skills/esrc/funding-for-postgraduate-training-and-development/eligibility-for-studentship-funding/ ).

As AI is deployed across an expanding range of scenarios, getting the interaction between humans and intelligent machines right is critical. Building on Bristol’s world-leading expertise in AI, machine learning and human-computer interaction, the Centre for Doctoral Training in Interactive Artificial Intelligence will train you to become a leader in responsible human-in-the-loop AI systems.

After the first year in which you will study foundational topics in data-driven AI, knowledge-driven AI, human-AI interaction and responsible AI, you will undertake a 3-year research project, supervised by one of the 60 academics in the supervisory network and possibly in collaboration with one of our partners.

Navigate to https://www.bristol.ac.uk/cdt/interactive-ai/apply/how-to-apply/ to find out more. These are highly competitive studentships, so please follow the guidance carefully when applying.

The closing date is 30th of June 2023. Please ping me if you have any queries.
