Postdoc Position in Medical AI and Computer Vision

The School of Computing and Informatics at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team. We welcome applicants with a strong research background and enthusiasm in medical AI and computer vision.
Research Focus
The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with Dr. Min Shi (https://www.medai-lab.com) and Dr. Hao Zheng (https://hzaoheng123.github.io/HZ/), contributing to one or more of the following research areas:
- Multimodal medical data integration and analysis
- Trustworthy and generalizable AI in medical imaging
- Medical large language models (LLMs)
- Causal representation learning
- Accessible and equitable AI for healthcare
The research environment includes access to rich medical datasets, high-performance computing resources, and an interdisciplinary collaboration platform.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in medical AI
- Publish high-quality papers in top-tier conferences or journals
- Participate
actively in ongoing projects and interdisciplinary collaborations
The position offers a competitive salary. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of annual renewal based on performance and project progress.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. (obtained or expected soon) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- A strong publication record in top-tier venues related to computer vision, medical image analysis, or artificial intelligence
- Excellent research, communication, and teamwork skills
- Preferred
expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning
• Computer Vision and Medical Image Analysis
• Multimodal Foundational Models for Vision and Language
