“SABBATICAL PROGRAM” FOR EXCEPTIONAL SCIENTISTS
AT TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION INSTITUTE, ABU DHABI, UAE
The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is a premier global research center committed to advancing the frontiers of knowledge. Our teams of scientists, researchers, and engineers operate in a dynamic and flexible environment, driving discovery science and transformative technologies.
As part of the Abu Dhabi Government’s Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), we oversee technology research across the UAE. Our ten research centers focus on the following areas: Advanced Materials, AI and Digital Science, Autonomous Robotics, Biotechnology, Cryptography, Directed Energy, Propulsion and Space, Quantum Technologies, Renewable and Sustainable Energy, and Secure Systems.
We invite exceptional mid- to senior-career candidates to join us at any of the aforementioned research centers. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of impactful research and development in their respective fields. This program offers an outstanding opportunity for knowledge exchange and the cultivation of new collaborations.
Successful faculty applicants will integrate into TII’s existing research teams and will receive competitive salaries commensurate with their individual experience. Additionally, travel costs, including one round-trip airfare, will be covered. Faculty members are expected to be onsite in Abu Dhabi, UAE, during their sabbatical, which can last from 6 to 12 months.
Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
Each candidate is required to submit a comprehensive CV, three references, and a list of their three most significant publications, clearly indicating their preferred research center at TII. Additionally, candidates must provide a two-page proposal outlining their planned research activities during their sabbatical at TII, specifically detailing how their work aligns with the activities of the chosen centers.
