4th Muslims in Machine Learning (MusIML) Workshop

Important Dates

  • Abstract submission: April 18, 2025

  • Paper submission: April 25, 2025 

  • Notification of acceptance: May 10, 2025

  • Camera-ready submission: May 30, 2025

4th MusIML at ICML 2025

The workshop provides a platform for researchers and practitioners to explore the intersection of Machine Learning (ML), AI, and Muslim communities. We invite short paper submissions (up to 4 pages) in two tracks:

The workshop invites submissions in two tracks:

Track 1: Machine Learning Research by Muslim Authors – Open to Muslim researchers working on cutting-edge ML topics such as LLMs, generative AI, federated learning, AI ethics, robotics, and more.

Track 2: ML Research Addressing Challenges Faced by Muslim Communities – Open to all researchers, focusing on ML applications that benefit Muslim communities, including ML for social good, language/speech technologies, computational Islamic studies, and bias mitigation.

SUBMISSION

  • Submission format: Up to 4 pages (excluding references)

  • Submission & Review: OpenReview with double-blind reviews

  • Presentation opportunities: Poster session & selected lightning talks

Thank you for reaching out. The workshop offers two tracks:

Track 1 is open to submissions where at least one of the authors self-identifies as Muslim.
Track 2 is open to all researchers, regardless of religious or ethnic background

Track 1 solicits Machine Learning Research by Muslim Authors in across various AI themes; while track 2 solicits submissions on ML Research Addressing Challenges Faced by Muslim Communities. More details about the tracks can be found here: https://www.musiml.org/events/2025-ICML/cfp.html
