PhD positions in AI Driven Drug Discovery at Macao Polytechnic University

Our team at the Centre of Artificial Intelligence Driven Drug Discovery (AIDD) of the Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) is offering funded Ph.D. positions starting in September 2024. We are a dynamic research team dedicated to cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI and drug discovery. Our projects include target identification, protein-ligand and protein-peptide binding prediction, virtual screening, and prediction of activities and functions of biomolecules and chemical compounds.

Qualifications:
We are seeking highly motivated candidates with
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Chemistry/Biology/Physics, Bioinformatics, Pharmacy, or related fields
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R, …)
- Familiarity with molecular simulation software (a plus)
- Excellent English verbal and writing
- Funding requirement: at least one first-authored journal
