Job Duties:
- Conduct independent research in the fields of Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, and Information Retrieval
- Publish and disseminate research findings in journals and present at conferences
- Work towards a doctoral dissertation
- Actively take part in scientific collaborations
- Co-supervise Bachelor’s/Master's theses
Your Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience in at least one (preferably several) of the following fields: Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Information Retrieval, Fairness/Bias Mitigation/Explainability of Deep Learning models
- Excellent programming and good mathematical skills
- Commitment, creativity, and ability to conduct independent scientific work as well as publish and disseminate findings
- Fluency in English (oral and written)
- Ability and willingness to independently supervise students in the fields mentioned above
- Team player and good social skills

- On the basis of full-time employment (40 hours/week) the minimum salary in accordance with the collective agreement is € 3.058,60 gross per month (14 x per year, CA Job Grade: B1)
