Creative domains are a significant part of modern society, having a strong influence on economic and cultural life. Much effort within creative domains, such as fashion, art and design, centers around the creation, consumption and analytics of creative visual content. In recent years, there has been an explosion of research in applying machine learning and computer vision algorithms to various aspects of the creative domains including generating, analyzing and processing visual content. This ever-increasing interest is most evident in two important research trends: (1) Computer Vision for Fashion and (2) Visual Content Generation for Creative Applications.

This workshop aims to bring together researchers in computer vision and machine learning and artists and professionals from creative domains to discuss open problems in the areas of computer vision for fashion and creative visual content generation. The workshop will build on the success of the first workshop, starting and cultivating conversations between artists, professionals in creative industries, and computer vision scientists, while also creating a new space for collaboration between these communities towards to tackle these deep problems.

The workshop will provide diverse programs to encourage interdisciplinary discussions and idea sharing, including seven keynote talks, a paper submission track, two fashion image challenges tackling multiple tasks, and a curated art gallery. Following the success from last year, we will continue hosting the art gallery competition and Fashion-Gen challenge.

In addition, we are proud to present DeepFashion2 challenge at our workshop!

For the paper track, we solicit papers on developing and applying computer vision techniques that are valuable in the creative domains, with an emphasis on fashion, art and design. To provide rich opportunities to share opinions and experience in such an emerging field, we will accept paper submission on established and novel ideas, as well as workshop challenges.
Topics of papers include but are not limited to:

-Computer Vision for Fashion
-Virtual try-on/wardrobe
-Visual size and fit advice
-Cross-domain visual search for fashion
-Personal shopping assistant
-Automatic article tagging
-Trend analysis and forecast
-Efficient methods for fashion search
-Fashion analysis from videos
-Style and product recommendation
-Body Shape Prediction
-Creative Visual Content Generation
-Novel methods for visual content generation
-New evaluation metrics for generated content
-Design with humans in the loop
-Novel applications in creative domains

Accepted papers will be presented at the poster session. The workshop will also present a best paper award to one, or possibly more, papers of exceptional quality. Submitted papers should follow the ICCV 2019 paper template. The page limit is less than four pages, including references. Submitted work can be shorter versions (extended abstract) of work presented at the main conference or work in progress which may (or may not) be submitted to a different conference at a later date. The accepted papers will be linked at the workshop webpage. Papers will be peer reviewed under single-blind policy, and must be submitted online through the CMT submission system at:

https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/CVFAD2019

Authors can choose to include their paper as part of the ICCV Workshop Proceedings if the paper is not the shorter version of an accepted work in the ICCV 2019 proceedings. Papers which exceed the page limit (four pages including references) will result in rejection.

Important Dates:

Paper submission deadline: August 10th (11:59PM PST)
