PhD Position on "Bridging Differential Privacy and Reinforcement Learning" at Inria, France

We invite applications for a PhD student willing to join the project “Learning to Adaptively Attack and Defend Privacy of Machine Learning Systems”. This topic is at the intersection of reinforcement learning and differential privacy. The candidate will be supported by AI_PhD@Lille grant, and supervised by D. Basu and Philippe Preux of Scool team at Inria Lille- Nord Europe.

The appointee will be based at Scool team (previously SequeL) in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France.The duration of the contract is three years. The position will commence on 1st September, 2021. Application is open till 15th April, 2021

Qualification: Applicants should have at least a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. Some experience with machine learning is desired. Experience in programming (Python, C/C++), machine learning software (e.g. PyTorch), and Linux/Ubuntu OS is a plus.
