We are pleased to announce that our workshop "Deep Learning for Sustainable Precision Agriculture" has been accepted to the European Conference on Machine Learning and Principles and Practice of Knowledge Discovery in Databases (ECML PKDD) and will therefore be held in Turin on Friday, September 22, at Officine Grandi Riparazioni (OGR).
The idea comes from Ph.D. students Mauro Martini and Simone Angarano, supervised by Prof. Marcello Chiaberge. The workshop is organized in collaboration with Professors Matteo Matteucci (AIR Lab, Politecnico di Milano), Marco Piras (DIATI, Politecnico di Torino), Renato Ferrero (DAUIN, PoliTo), Karl Mason, and Dr. Abdul Wahid (Science Foundation Ireland, University of Galway).
The workshop is aimed at researchers and industry experts interested in leveraging deep learning techniques for precision agriculture. It will provide participants with a platform to network with experts and gain knowledge on the latest trends in deep learning for precision agriculture: crop segmentation, plant disease detection, weed removal, soil moisture monitoring, renewable integration, and energy management.
We invite researchers to submit papers that will be reviewed and published in the workshop proceedings. The selected authors will be invited to present their works and participate in the poster session. Demos associated with posters are also encouraged to promote first-person involvement.
Important dates:
- Submission deadline: June 23rd, 2023
- Notification of publication decision: July 12th, 2023
More information is available on the workshop website.
