I am contacting you in my capacity as the guest editor for the Special Issue "Evolutionary and Swarm Computing for Emerging Applications" in the open-access Journal /Algorithms/. I am writing to share some exciting news with you, following our earlier news of an increased CiteScore of 3.7, /Algorithms/ has received its first journal Impact Factor (IF) for 2022 of 2.3, which is higher than the median IF (2.2) of the category "Computer Science, Theory & Methods" from Web of Science. Our increase in ranking and CiteScore is reflective of the quality of our journal and our dedication to excellent science (https://www.mdpi.com/journal/algorithms/announcements/6184).
We extend a cordial invitation to you to submit a high-quality paper (Research Article or Comprehensive Review) to the journal as a feature paper. If you do not have a suitable paper to submit in the near future, please also let us know.

As an invited high-quality feature paper, we may waive the article processing charge (APC) of 1600 CHF with the following eligibility criteria:
· You can submit your manuscript by the 1 December 2024 (you may send in your manuscript now or up until the deadline, as papers will be published on an ongoing basis);
· You should be the first author or the corresponding author;
· The co-authors are from your institution;
· The word count is expected to be above 4,000, which generally equates to at least 12 pages of main content.
If you plan to submit a paper, could you please let us know of your intent in two weeks, for our planning purposes? To avoid unnecessary reminder, a 'yes', 'no' or 'maybe' response would suffice. Please do not hesitate to contact our assistant editor, Mr. Musea Wu (muse...@mdpi.com) directly for a special discussion on your particular idea, abstract, or paper.
/Algorithms/ (ISSN 1999-4893, http://www.mdpi.com/journal/algorithms, CiteScore 3.7, indexed by MathSciNet, Scopus, EI Compendex, and ESCI —Web of Science), which has received its first journal Impact Factor (IF) for 2022 of 2.3, which is higher than the median IF (2.2) of the category "Computer Science, Theory & Methods" from Web of Science. However, please note that "Algorithms" is not indexed in SCIE yet [1]. In addition, it is currently ranked Q2 in the category "Computer Science, Theory & Methods", and since then has been rising steadily in the ranks [2], and is published online monthly by MDPI. It has more than 200,000 hits every month [3]. An article processing charge of 1600 CHF (Swiss Francs) applies to papers accepted after peer review [4]. Moreover, many national and private research funding organizations and universities explicitly cover APCs for articles resulting from funded research projects. Discounts are also available for authors from institutes which participate in MDPI's Institutional Open Access Program (IOAP) [5].
