[ACM SIGIR 2026] WIR EVENT: CALL FOR POSTER

At the premises of ACM SIGIR 2026, which will take place in Melbourne, from July 20th to July 24th, a dedicated event organised by Women-in-IR (WIR) is planned on Wednesday, July 22nd. The event will consist of a poster session (like the one organised at SIGIR 2025 in Padova) that aims to provide a platform for women participants at all stages of their careers to briefly present their research interests and share their career paths. A standardized poster template is provided (the poster format is A1) to ensure a consistent presentation format; you can find the template enclosed here. 

The poster session will take place on Wednesday 22 July, during lunch time and will offer an opportunity to talk to experienced researchers (from both the Academy and Industry), who will provide their experience as well as suggestions for career paths development.

All participants to SIGIR 2026 (not women only!) are warmly invited to attend both the poster and the panel sessions.

We encourage all women in IR to:

1. Prepare their poster using the provided template
2. Print their poster and bring it to the conference
