Dear colleagues,

Last call! Registration is still open for the Reasoning Web Summer School 2026, taking place 24–30 August 2026 as part of Declarative AI 2026.

Reasoning Web is an established international summer school dedicated to recent advances in reasoning techniques, ontologies, rules, logic, the Semantic Web, linked data, and knowledge graph applications. The school is primarily aimed at PhD and MSc students, recent graduates, and early-career researchers, while also welcoming more experienced researchers wishing to broaden or refresh their knowledge. Beyond the tutorials, it offers an excellent opportunity to network with leading international researchers in a friendly and interactive setting.

This year's tutorial programme features outstanding speakers covering a broad range of topics in symbolic and neurosymbolic AI, including:

  • Hector Geffner – Learning, Reasoning, and Planning
  • Andreas Pieris – Rule-based Ontologies: From Semantics to Syntax
  • Efthymia Tsamoura – A Gentle Introduction to the Theory of Neurosymbolic Learning
  • Jonas Haldimann – Non-monotonic Reasoning and Defeasible Description Logics
  • Richard Booth – Non-monotonic Conditionals: A Contemporary Introduction
  • Nina Pardal – Provenance and Semiring Semantics
  • Antonio Rago – Explainable AI through Symbolic Methods
  • Timotheus Kampik – Computational Argumentation and Machine Learning
  • Emiliano Lorini – Reasoning About Causality
  • Florent Capelli – Knowledge Compilation: Power and Limits
  • Celeste Veronese – Integrating Symbolic Reasoning into Neural Learning: An Introduction to Neurosymbolic Reinforcement Learning

The summer school is co-located with RuleML+RR 2026 and DecisionCAMP 2026, bringing together researchers working on declarative AI, knowledge representation, reasoning, decision making, and explainability.
