
The University of Chicago Booth School of Business invites applications for tenure-track positions at the assistant or associate professor levels in Applied AI for the 2024-25 academic year.
Candidates should have deep expertise in AI/ML methods and
tools, along with a strong interest in applied empirical work in a substantive
domain. Booth is a leader across a breadth of academic areas and is seeking
candidates with expertise in AI who can enhance and complement the research
effort here. Successful candidates will have demonstrated outstanding research
abilities and will be committed to excellence in teaching AI-related courses at
the MBA level. The candidate must have obtained, or expect to obtain shortly, a
Ph.D. or equivalent degree in an area relevant to AI—including but not limited
to Machine Learning (and related areas in Computer Science), Statistics,
Economics, or any Business-related discipline. Relevant
industry experience would be considered a valuable part of a candidate's
portfolio.
