The Yale University Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Associate position. The Postdoctoral Associate will have opportunities for close interaction and collaboration with Professor Navin Kartik.
The Postdoctoral Associate is expected to pursue an active research agenda, balancing time between their own research and contributions to Professor Navin Kartik’s research program, which may include collaborative and joint projects. The position is intended to provide intellectual freedom while also offering interaction, collaboration, and mentorship opportunities. The Associate will have the opportunity to engage with not only activities at the Economics department, but also at the Cowles Foundation and the Center for Algorithms, Data, and Market Design (CADMY).
Applicants must have completed their PhD in Economics or a related discipline prior to the start of their appointment. They are expected to demonstrate a strong record of top-quality research and publication in the areas of Economic Theory, Political Economy, Game Theory, or Information Economics.
The Postdoctoral Associate is expected to be present on the Yale campus at least three full days per week, contribute to research and publications, and participate in seminars, conferences, and other intellectual activities at Yale. Residence in the New Haven area is strongly urged.
The Postdoctoral Associate appointment will start on July 1, 2026, or later based on mutual agreement, for the duration of one year, with a possibility of renewal for a second year. The Associate will receive a salary of 90,000 USD per year plus Yale benefits, a travel/research stipend of 10,000 USD, and workspace.
