The Swiss Data Science Center (https://datascience.ch/) is hiring senior data scientists, with expertise in machine learning and related fields. The SDSC is a center founded by EPFL and ETH Zurich through a strategic focus area and has offices in both universities as well as at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI). Our mission is to help academic teams and industries leverage data science and state-of-the-art machine learning. The center is composed of a large and diverse multi-disciplinary team. As a Senior Data Scientist at SDSC, your main responsibility will be to design and implement dedicated data science algorithms for different scientific domains and carry out data analyses to solve ambitious research questions.  See https://datascience.ch/academic-projects/ for information on our academic research collaborations.

Who should apply:

The ideal candidates are researchers with a PhD in machine learning or a related field who have some experience working with concrete applied problems, and have sharp skills in one or more of the following fields:

•          Deep Learning,

•          Bayesian Modeling,

•          Computer Vision,

•          Natural Language Processing,

•          Reinforcement Learning,

•          Statistics,

•          Optimization,

•          Signal Processing.

We also expect that candidates are proficient in Python/R, Scala, C/C++.
